Our fernet embodies the very essence of our combined love of Amari and herbal liqueurs. With additions of Kangaroo Island saffron to provide a subtle earthy-sweet profile, Adelaide Hills kumquats to round out the middle palate with a citrus profile and gentian, orris and licorice to provide a lingering bitterness, our Fernet is certainly a nod to the contemporary, earthy and deceptively fresh. A light maceration in muscat barrel brings length and supports the rich palette. Complex, rich, and fresh.

Before + After
As the name suggests, Before and After is a cosy basement boozer dedicated to pre- and post-dinner drinking – and aperitivo y digestivo in particular.
The poison of choice here is amaro, and owner George Curtis (ex-Agnes) is pouring over 70 varieties of the traditional Italian digestif from behind the timber bar. Thirteen of them are vintage, including a bottle of Fernet-Branca from the 1970s. There’s also a bunch of Australian drops, including a hard-to-find Osare amaro from Tasmania, and a range of Beechworth Bitters amari.
